Day 01: Arrival – Meet & greet – Pass by Matale – Proceed to Kandy – Hotel check-in – Kandy City Tour -Cultural show

Guests arrive and then head to Matale’s spice garden. Bask in the wonderful smells and colors of the numerous spices that Sri Lanka is known for. Visitors can see how these spices are grown and processed. Be awed by a cookery demonstration. Upon arrival at Kandy, check in to your hotel and do a city tour by afternoon. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings that still conjures visions of splendour, and where people still lovingly keep many legends, traditions and folklore alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king, Sri WickramaRajasinghe, in 1798. Other attractions: town bazaar, arts and crafts centre, gem museum, lapidary, the Temple of the Tooth Relic, and a cultural show.

 

Day 02: Breakfast – Peradeniya Botanical Gardens – NuwaraEliya

 

After a hearty breakfast, visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, which was built by a Sinhala king and was further expanded by the British. With 147 acres, it’s home to a wide variety of trees, plants and flowers.AtNuwaraEliya, stop by the tea plantation. Thanks to its lush mountain climate and invigorating scenery, NuwaraEliya has become the most popular hill resort in the country and is at the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea-making industry. The hill city is considered as one of the world’s best tea producers. Pidurutalagala (8282 feet), Sri Lanka’s highest mountain, is also located here. NuwaraEliya is the location of one of the finest 18-hole golf courses in South Asia.

 

Day 03: Breakfast – Yala National Park Safari

 

Go on a safari trip at the Yala National Park by jeep after breakfast. The park is a sanctuary for elephants, wild boars, wild buffaloes, leopards, bears, deer, and crocodiles. Large flocks of migratory and indigenous birds are also found here.

 

Day 04: Breakfast – Galle beach – Galle Fort – Check-in at the Heritance Ahungalla/The Sands

After breakfast, proceed to the Galle beach along the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Once the chief port of Ceylon, Galle iswell known for its intricate hand-made lace. Visit the Galle Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site spanning 90 acres), whichwas originally built by the Portuguese and later extended by the Dutch in 1663.

 

Day 05: Breakfast – Colombo – Check in at Cinnamon Lakeside – Colombo City Tour – Other activities

Colombo is the next stop after breakfast. Check in at Cinnamon Lakeside/OZO Colombo then onto an afternoon city tour.Colombo is a mix of the old and the new—skyscrapers arise where old buildings once stood, and in some parts, the oldworld charm endures. For example: a 100-year-old clock tower and several British built colonial buildings stand side byside. Other places of interest: the Pettah Bazaar, where one can shop for a good bargain; a Hindu and a Buddhist temple;residential areas with the stately homes of the affluent; the Colombo Museum, the Bandaranaike Memorial InternationalConference Hall (BMICH), China’s gift to Sri Lanka; and the Dutch Museum.

Day 06 - 09: Breakfast – Transfer to Colombo Airport – Fly via seaplane to Maldives resort

Transfer to Colombo Airport after breakfast to fly to the Maldives. Get on a seaplane to reach Lily Beach on the spectacularAri Atoll, your own slice of paradise in the next 4 days!
